Tim Parham Named to Canadian NBL All-Star Team

BY TONY ALFONSO
APRIL 9, 2014, HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA - Not only was he named the top rebounder in Canadian NBL history with 429 in the regular season, but Tim Parham has another reason to celebrate: he will be part of the Canadian NBL 2014 All Star team.
The All Star lineup was announced on Monday after votes were gathered from NBL coaches.
The 6' 9' power forward/center will be representing the Atlantic Division along with several of his fellow Rainmen. The Atlantic team will be coached by Joe Solerno Jr. of the Prince Edward Island Storm, who knocked Halifax out of the playoffs late last month.
'It is a huge honor to be selected to play in the NBL All Star game! So many great players are in this league and to be recognized as one of the best is an honor,' said Parham upon the All Star announcement.
'I think the game will be one for the fans,' he added. 'It might get competitive down the stretch, but it should be a great experience. I'm looking forward to heading back to Charlottetown for All Star Weekend!'
All Star weekend is set for April 19-20 in Charlottetown, PEI. That Saturday night will also include presentation of the Canadian NBL's season long awards, including those for Canada first, second and third teams; MVP; Defensive Player of the Year; Canadian of the Year; Coach of the Year; 6th Man of the Year; the Ian Fowler Executive of the Year; and Expansion Franchise of the Year.
